Born 1969 in Frankfurt, Germany. Studied physics and mathematics in Berlin and Cologne. Master thesis in 1999 about thermal transport and Righi-Leduc-Effect in high-temperature-superconducters. Started 1999 in the industry as IT-consultant and software developer for the Eclipse Imaging Software project. Joined as scientist and software developer the research and development team of the Laboratory for Mixed Realities in 2001. Working in the project 'alVRed, Nonlinear Dramaturgy in Virtual Environments' funded by the German Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF). Main research focuses are nonlinear storytelling, creative tools, aesthetics and cultural aspects in virtual worlds and computer games.
